Deck the Hollow (Athens)

December 13 @ 5:30 pm – December 15 @ 7:30 pm

“Join us for “Deck the Hollow” at Bear Hollow Zoo from December 6-8 and 13-15. This event takes place from 5:30-7:30 PM. The community is invited to celebrate the holidays in lights, local artist vendors, animal encounters, and more! The admission fee is $5 per person, children under the age of 2 are admitted free of charge. Admission fee will be due at the front gate upon entrance to the event.”

About Bear Hollow Zoo:
Bear Hollow Zoo is home to a variety of non-releasable wildlife residents. These animals have encountered a challenge that they could not overcome, either physical or behavioral, and have been placed here to live out their lives serving as ambassadors for their species. They are here to educate our visitors about the wonderful wildlife with which we share space.
Bear Hollow Zoo is located within Memorial Park.

Animals at Bear Hollow Zoo

All residents at Bear Hollow Zoo are non-releasable native wildlife. Exhibits change periodically. Here are some of our current residents on exhibit:
Black Bear
River Otter
Red Fox
American Alligator
Spotted Skunk
Deer
Wild Turkey
Bald Eagle
Great Horned Owl
Eastern Screech Owl
Various reptiles (reptile house)

Cost: $5/person (under 2 years of age is free)
Location: Bear Hollow Zoo (Athens), 293 Gran Ellen Dr, Athens, Georgia
Bear Hollow Zoo is located within Memorial Park. ((I recommend packing a picnic lunch to eat in the Park after your zoo visit))

NOTE: Bear Hollow Zoo is located in Athens, GA about 40 miles East of downtown Lawrenceville (50+ minutes with NO traffic)
