Officer Ortega Fundraising Event

“While on patrol on Wednesday, August 9th, Officer Daniel Ortega was hit head-on by a drunk driver. The severe injury he sustained required his foot to be reconstructed, using plates and screws to hold it together. Even after several months of painful physical therapy, Ofc. Ortega has no timeline as to when he will be able to return to duty.
Ofc. Ortega is a dedicated husband and father to their young daughter, Ellie. As a single-income home, his injuries have added emotional and financial stress to an already challenging situation.
To help the Ortega family, the Gwinnett County Police Foundation is hoping you will join us next Saturday, the 16th at the Wild Wing Café in Hamilton Mill. All profits received between 3-7 pm on the 16th, are dedicated to helping the Ortega family during this time of healing.
