Storytime and Culture Craft – Haiti
October 19 @ 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm
“Join Ms. Becca for a storytime to learn about Haiti’s country and culture! We will sing songs and read stories so children can learn about Haitian culture and celebrate its vibrant traditions. Then, we will create a Haitian mountain landscape for our craft.
Each culture has its own beliefs, traditions, and ways of life. Learning about the cultures that make up our world and how to be respectful to all is valuable and enriches our lives. Haiti means “mountainous land” in the Taíno language spoken by the indigenous inhabitants. This month, our cultural craft will be creating mountain landscapes modeled after the lush, green forests seen on the Island of Haiti.”
When: Saturday, October 19, 2024 (3:00pm-4:00pm)
Where: Grayson Branch, 700 Grayson Parkway, Grayson, GA
