Wednesday is “Make Up You Own Holiday Day” Sound Fun? Celebrate!

Wednesday is National “Make Up Your Own Holiday Day”
Sound Fun? How to Celebrate:
1) Brainstorm with Your Kids – Ask them what they’d love to celebrate. Maybe it’s Backwards Everything Day, Pirate Pizza Day, or Pancakes for Dinner Day!
2) Make it Official – Write out a mini “holiday proclamation” and make a sign!
3) Dress the Part – If it’s Green-Only Day, Dress in everything green you can find in your closet – scarf, hat, and socks!
Need inspiration? How about…
1) No Talking, Only Acting Day – Communicate only through charades! Can your family guess what you’re saying? (Some of you might want this holiday on repeat in your house!
)
2) Giant Spoon Day – Use the biggest spoon you can find for every meal today. Cereal? Soup? Ice cream? Go big or go home! (Visit Berens Frozen Custard in Grayson – Flavor of the day on Wednesday is Blackberry!)
3) Superhero Name Day – Give everyone in the house a superhero name for the day. What’s your power? (Visit Galactic Quest to find a superhero-inspired comic)
4) Backwards Everything Day – Wear clothes backwards, talk backwards, even eat dessert first! (Swing by Blue Rooster Bake Shop & Eatery for that dessert)
5) One Color Challenge Day – Pick a color and only wear or eat things that match it. Can you stick to it all day? (Visit Special Kneads and Treats, Inc. for their GREEN key lime cupcake (my favorite)
I hope you can have fun picking a fun and easy holiday that you’ll want to repeat every year —
